Letterfrack  ~   Renvyle

Letterfrack Village is dominated by the Diamond Hill which is located in the Connemara National Park.

Letterfrack was founded by the Quakers in the mid-19th century. It is situated 15 km north-east of Clifden on Barnaderg Bay and lies at the head of Ballinakill harbour. The visitors centre for Connemara National Park is here.
Diamond Hill Letterfrack County Galway

Letterfrack was the location of Marconi's transatlantic wireless receiving station associated with his high power transmitter in Clifden.

There is plenty to do and see in the village as the Connemara National Park is based in the village and is the starting point for some lovely walks including a track all the way to the top of the Diamond Mountain suitable for the most inexperienced hill walker. Also a furniture exhibition is held every summer at the Furniture College in the village. Or take a boat trip from the pier to fish or just watch the dolphins.
